Inclusion & SEND
Christ Church School is committed to being an inclusive school where every child is supported to reach their full potential, including those identified as having Special Educational Needs or Disabilities (SEND).
We strive to provide high-quality teaching for all pupils and recognise that children progress at different rates. Throughout their primary school journey, some children may experience a range of learning, social, or emotional needs. These needs are carefully identified and supported through a graduated response, ensuring that appropriate support is put in place at the right time and in the right way, whether for academic, social, or emotional support.
At Christ Church School, we work closely with a wide range of external agencies, including health and social care services and other specialist professionals. This collaborative approach enables us to support the individual needs of children with SEND effectively and to help them make the best possible progress.
What is the Local Offer?
Bristol Local Authority has a duty to provide a 'Local Offer' which provides detailed information about the support available for children with SEND in Bristol.
What can Christ Church Primary offer your child if s/he has Special Needs?
At Christ Church School, we embrace the fact that every child is different and, therefore, the educational needs of every child are different. We aim to be a fully inclusive school that provides an appropriate and high quality education for all children, including those identified as having ‘special educational needs or disabilities’.

If you have any concerns regarding your child then please raise this with your child's class teacher in the first instance.
