Yr 5 Vikings

14th December 2018
Y5 have spent this term learning all about the Vikings. We have found out about their houses, their boats, why they raided Lindisfarne, how they settled peacefully, how they lived their lives and our homework projects were a culmination of all of our learning. Some of us made Viking longhouses; some of us baked Viking food and some of us made Viking armour. We shared our projects with one another on Viking Day, where we all dressed up as Vikings and enjoyed eating honey cake and drinking "mead" (apple juice!) at the end of the day.
Year 5 ended their brilliant Viking topic with a Viking Day filled with fun Viking activities. Top of the list of favourite activities included sharing  their amazing Viking homework projects and participating in a Viking feast, eating delicious food baked by pupils and teachers!
