Yr 5 Literacy

22nd June 2018
Year 5 have been working really hard in Literacy this week to find out what makes a good news report. They started by researching how to plan an interview and moved on to thinking about filming technique. They used their Power of Reading text, Journey to the River Sea, to create group news broadcasts. The children worked in groups of three and got in to role incredibly well. They interviewed Mr Trapwood and Mr Low about their search in Brazil for Bernard Taverner's son. All the performances were audible, clear and referred back to information they had learned from the story. Some of the broadcasts had a personal touch of humour too! Well done Year 5.
