Yr 5 Leonardo Exhibition
30th April 2019
Year 5 attended a fantastic art workshop at Bristol Museum and Art Gallery. They looked at the Leonardo da Vinci exhibition and learnt more about the amazing mind of Leonardo. They also learnt to appreciate that although it is 500 years since he died - the art he created, the inventions he designed, the theories he devised and the scientific discoveries he made are still influencing our lives today. Year 5 observed a range of drawings from the Royal Collection, in particular a portrait of Madonna. They then went into the art gallery and looked at two other portraits by two different artists. Inspired they completed two different sketching activities led by Artist in Residence, sculptor, Freya Gabie.
