Yr 5 Beggar Bush Activity Centre

9th May 2019
Y5 had a rather soggy start to their trip to Beggar Bush yesterday but, despite the torrential rain, they learnt some fantastic new survival skills. Traps and snares taught them how to trap or ensnare animals; bushcraft saw them learning how to start fires (yes, really!) and the campfire was the highlight of the day because the children were allowed to toast marshmallows, make smores and bake bread. By the end of the day, they had definitely warmed up and filled their tummies sufficiently! They are looking forward to their next trip to Beggar Bush in July, when hopefully the sun will be shining...
