Yr 4 Tyntesfield

Year 4 have had a fantastic time at Tyntesfield as part of their DT focus on 'Healthy Diets and Seasonal Cooking.'

We attended a chefs apprentice workshop in the sawmill education centre where we learnt about seasonal ingredients and then prepared and cooked our own summer vegetable stir fry.

We all thought it was delicious and even better, Juliette's dad Pete did all the washing up! (Thanks Pete.)

After that we walked down to the kitchen garden where we hunted for edible flowers and vegetables on a food trail and then we dug up some potatoes, tasted some basil and nibbled marigold and nasturtium flowers.

After lunch we went into the woods to explore the fantastic outdoor play areas.

An amazing day for everyone!
