Yr 4 to Roman Baths

2nd March 2017

Year 4 had a fantastic day exploring the Roman Baths. We started off with some activities to learn about Ancient Roman life. We examined genuine Roman artefacts that Roman people used in the kitchen, we experimented with Roman clothing, trying on togas, tunics and headscarves, and finally, we learned the cursive alphabet that Roman citizens used 2000 years ago! After lunch, we visited the Roman Baths and museum, and were able to see the hot springs that ran underground that naturally heat the Baths. Some of us were even brave enough to taste the spring water that contains 43 different minerals. We could really taste these! We all had a lovely time and were on our best behaviour all day long even although we were all so excited.
