Yr 4 Dental Workshops

17th November 2016

Year 4 have spent the last three Thursdays working with third year students from Bristol Dental Hospital as part of their Science Topic-'Animals and Living Creatures.'

The students have helped the children to explore the types of teeth in animals and also what happens to them if they are not cared for properly.

The children have also conducted experiments on eggs using vinegar and sugar, considered which foods help to maintain a healthy mouth and learnt to brush their teeth effectively using disclosing tablets to highlight plaque.

For the students, Christ Church children provided some welcome practise for them  in pitching their talk  and interaction  in an appropriate way prior to continuing the paediatric module of their course.
