Yr3 @ RWA

30th April 2019
Year 3 were lucky enough to be invited back to Bristol's RWA for another installment of 'Look, Imagine & Write Creative Writing Scheme'. The project's aim is to encourage children to visit an art gallery, learn about exhibitions and be inspired to write creatively about a piece of art that has inspired them. Fifteen children from both 3TC and 3KC were picked at random to experience Gaudier-Brzeska's range of animal-inspired artworks as well as the Open Sculpture Exhibition (well worth a visit if you can make it!) In addition, the wonderful project leaders Jo and Venetia lead a workshop with the group touching on some of the themes in the show - involving experimentation with language and writing short texts. The children's writing will be entered into a competition. Those lucky enough to be shortlisted will get their writing displayed alongside the artwork in the gallery! Have a look at the photos to see what inspired our inner authors.
