Year 6 Visit the Lifeskills Centre

7th July 2016
Today, Year 6 were lucky enough to visit the Lifeskills Centre to learn all about staying healthy and safe. Based at the Create Centre, the Lifeskills Centre allows children to experience a wide variety of potentially dangerous real-life situations under the watchful gaze of trained volunteers. From exploring the many dangers that one finds around the house to how to deal with emergency situations involving calling the emergency services, the children are shown how to spot dangers, how to avoid them and how to deal with them if the need arises. The children dealt with each situation brilliantly and the volunteers were particularly impressed with the children's knowledge, maturity and behaviour throughout the day.
