Y6 Cathedral and Sewing

7th June 2018
Year 6 have had a busy and interesting week!

On Thursday they joined another cohort of Year 6 pupils at Bristol Cathedral and spent the day thinking about moving onto their new secondary school. They undertook a number of creative and thought-proving activities that were designed to help them manage and overcome any fears and anxieties around their transition. They also had the opportunity to celebrate and thank all the people who had guided them through their Primary school.
Friday brought the team from the Clifton High masterclass bus who arrived to help the children with their textiles activities this term. Each child had a laser cut stencil of their name and a copy of our school logo . They were given a small bag to decorate with fabric pens and then they had the opportunity to sew a variety of buttons, sequins and decorations onto it. They had an amazing time and are looking forward to the next masterclass activity!
