Y4 Roman Day
20th March 2018
Salve! A legion of Roman centurions, gladiators, gods, goddesses and Emperors greeted us on Wednesday as we opened the doors to Roman Day. We started the day with Roman games and songs, and then shared our Roman homework projects that we have been working so hard on this term. We were treated to some spectacular creations, from a loaf of bread made with a 2000 year old Roman recipe to a drone bird’s eye view of a Roman site in Dorchester. In the afternoon, we practised our Roman marching and charging skills, and then ended the day with a Roman feast, yes including rotten fish guts! (this was not the most popular dish!) A great day was had all round, what a way to end the term and our Roman topic!
