World Book Day

1st March 2018
The 'white' colour we all saw falling from the sky didn't stop the fun at Christ Church School. The children all looked fantastic, such a variety of colours and some super crayon costumes. The red crayon, blue crayon and pink crayon were among the Christ Church favourite crayon colours for the day!

The whole school came together for an assembly led by the red crayon (Mr Campbell). The teachers enjoyed taking on the role of different colour crayons to share the story "The Day the Crayons Quit". Orange and yellow (Mr Eades and Miss Holland) crayons were made to shake hands and be friends. The beige, pink and peach crayons are colours the children will certainly use more! (Mr Curry, Mrs Fowler and Miss Halton). Thank you to all the staff who supported the assembly and for planning such creative learning opportunities for the children around the story by Drew Daywalt and illustrated by Oliver Jeffers.

The children all bought home a World Book Day token on Thursday. These can be used until Saturday 31st March 2018.

We hope you enjoy looking at the photos and look out for the World Book Day display when you come to parents evening next week.
