In May 2016 there were new national end of key stage test arrangements for children in Year 2 and Year 6. Please see the powerpoints for further information to explain the testing arrangements.

Year One Phonics screening

Attainment in the Year 1 phonics check is consistently good and has been above the national average for the last three years. It was 5% above this year.

The actual number of correct answers is high compared to national.

Key stage Two

34 Year 6 children (1 pupil=2.9%) were on roll for the KS2 SATs in July 2016.

2 children were disapplied from our data in line with DFE criteria.

72% met the expected standard in Reading, writing and maths combined (R,W,M). The national standard is 53%.The Floor standard in 2016 is 65% so we are above the floor standard for R, W, M combined.

6% achieved a high score in R, W, M combined, i.e. a scaled score of 110 or higher in all individual subjects.

The progress scores demonstrate our performance compared to children nationally. It is measured from the end of KS1 to the end of KS2. For writing and maths our children made progress in line with others nationally. In reading, our children made progress significantly above others nationally.
