RZH Visit St Werburgh's City Farm

11th March 2016
The children in RZH had a super morning at St Werburgh's City Farm. We explored the farm and learnt about the different animals that live there. We had chance to feed the chickens and ducks, hunt for duck eggs and then say 'hello' to some very friendly goats! We saw the one week old baby piglets and learnt that pigs like their Mummy, Penny, can have up to 12 babies at a time! We also learnt about the process of making bread and had a go at grinding wheat to make flour before tasting some yummy flat bread that had been cooked on a camping stove. What a fabulous day out!"
