RRM Visit St Werburgh's City farm
10th March 2016
On Thursday 10th March RRM visited St Werburgh's City Farm. We met some different animals including eight piglets. We got to collect duck eggs and to feed the chickens. Some of us were brave and fed the goats who were very hungry indeed! We saw a baby lamb and learnt about how wool is made.
We visited the learning room where we helped grind corn to make flour and learnt how to make bread. We all tasted different breads and voted for our favourite. Bread C was our favourite. The favourite bread was a Hovis white loaf.
We had a lovely morning and enjoyed spending the morning in the fresh air.Next week we are going to be making flat bread and tasting breads from different countries.
