Reception and PCs Dave and Pete

23rd April 2019
On Thursday the Reception children were very lucky to have two visiting police officers - PC Dave and PC Pete. It was Pete's last day as a police officer after 30 years of service and it was an honour for us to have him do his final school talk. After learning about what a police officer does and how all their special equipment works such as 'putting on handcuffs' the children were allowed to put on a police helmet! The highlight of the day!
PC Dave set the children a challenge to find out their postcode and memorise it as this information is vital to help them if you become lost. The children found out lots of information about how police officers help and protect us.

Happy retirement PC Pete
