Primary Engineer

6th July 2016

During the recent STEM fortnight, year 4 took part in a primary engineer challenge, requiring them to create a moving vehicle from a shoebox. Their vehicles had to be able to travel down a ramp in a straight line and have safety features to protect a passenger.

On Wednesday, two teams of year 4 children represented the school at the Bristol Primary Engineer celebration event with their vehicles. It was an inspiring day, during which the children had the opportunity to participate in engineering challenges, present their vehicles to the judges and test them on the ramp. The children were awarded certificates for their excellent cars and should be very proud of their efforts.
