European Language Day

26th September 2018
On Wednesday, we celebrated the European Day of Languages at Christ Church, in particular, promoting all the different languages spoken in school - nearly 40 languages, which is an amazing linguistic diversity! Children taught their classmates how to say hello or taught numbers in their own languages. The register was taken in different languages in each class and we all wore stickers which listed the languages we can speak. The children were very proud of the languages they spoke and were eager to share their knowledge in school.

A big thank you to parents who have kindly come in to school throughout this week to talk about their home countries; we learnt about Egypt, Italy, Japan, Sudan and Brazil. We also had a yummy Italian lunch provided from the school kitchen - the taste and smell of Italy was amazing.

Thank you to the wonderful Christ Church community for making European Day of Languages a great success!
