KS2 Aquathon

28th April 2017

Last Friday, most of KS2 took part in Clifton College’s annual Aquathon. Year 3/4 swam 50m and had to then run 500m in the morning whereas yr 5/6 had to swim and run double in the afternoon. Year 3/4 did amazingly as Amelie Moores got 1st place for year 3, Evie West came 3rd for year 3 and Isabel Hugill came 3rd for year 4. Everybody in yr 3/4 came close to the top three. Fortunately, the weather was on our side throughout as it did not rain. Unfortunately, the yr 5/6 came home empty handed. But the main thing was everybody tried their best and had great fun. We competed against other schools in a race for gold. After the cold and tiring race, the wet children made their way to the stand, where they got their well-earned hot chocolate and biscuits which the lovely dinner staff served. We thank Clifton College for this wonderful opportunity to compete against other schools and being able to have so many children take part.
